Um, it directed me to this site http://www.sma****susa.com/vendare.html
The censored out part in the url is the word shit. |
The music I listen to must not even exist then. Thank you Maddox wannabe for showing me the true flaws of my ways.
EDIT: Clarification without emailing the douchebag who runs that site: Emo music hasn't evolved. It may have gotten heavier due to changes in the hardcore genre, but it hasn't evolved. Bands like Weezer and Jimmy Eat World were post-emo at best, and changed their sound to fit into a different genre, and if they don't sound like what emo is supposed to be, they cannot therefore be emo bands. It's like saying the guitar has evolved. Still has six strings and frets, I don't see a huge change there. If they did something to it to majorly change it, it would become something else (i.e. MIDI guitar, baritone guitar, 7-string guitar, 12-string guitar). Obviously, if emo music has evolved, the bands I listen to don't even exist. |
I'm confused on what seperates

Pop emo bands are post emo and post hardcore influenced nothing more nor less.

Even the church folk have beef with emo:

If I ever find myself listening to an album & all I can do is ponder over which genre it is then the music isn`t doing it`s job properly.
