oh damn, I didnt know that was your first show, I remember that flyer vividly though, that was when men as trees still wasnt that popular and Newman was in a policeman's uniform pointing a gun. I agree, L'antietam has always been one of my favorite screamo bands, I love the melodic guitars and the screams, I like how their new stuff is more hardcore. However, Im mostly into everything on family. they're one of the few bands that uses octaves in a cathartic manner that isn't hackneyed.

You could not get more different in terms of song length than Men As Trees and L'Antietam.
I like L'Antietam, they offer something different to the masses of bland screamo bands that popped up around 2005-ish. I do not really dig Loma Prieta too much. L'Antietam remind me a little of Love Like Electrocution. I have not heard the album though, just their EP, whatever that was called. Something about Red Water? Memory is ruined. |
