lol obviously he doesnt have it nd is just trying to fit in. no but i really was disappointed with Where You Want to Be. I knew John Nolan had left but had no idea wut a big difference it was going to make. in Tell All Your Friends, they were the one band that set themselves apart from the rest by featuring a hardcore sound without becoming a screamo band. They were different than most bands and thats wut i liked about them. a large part of this was Nolan's voice b/c it was raspy nd throaty nd added that hardcore sound to it. O'Connell, the guy that replaced Nolan, has tried to fill his shoes and has not come even close. i do think Lazarra has developed as a singer, but now, without Nolan, they just sound like every other emo band out there, which isnt sooo terrible, but it is dissappointing.

i wasnt sure if i was gonna like it due to the fact that they lost two members. however teh new cd is really amazing. still not quite as good as the first though. but it comes closer than i ever thought it would. teh new bassist in my opinion is better than the old one. however, Nolan just cant be replaced. so it falls just a little bit short of tell all your friends.

I got the CD b4 it was widespread released or w/e because the CD Connection in my town said that they got it straight from the label , i didnt really ask questions , just was happy to take it + why would i be lying about getting the CD, im not that hung up on attention, but if you get your jollies by callin people liers and starting things, then by all means keep it up, do what makes you happy

I just wanted to point out that O'Connell is the drummer, and has been there all along, Fred Mascherino replaced John Nolan. I agree though, I was dissappointed with the new CD too. I liked it and all, it's catchy as hell, but it's just not the same Taking Back Sunday I orginally loved. The lyrics aren't as deep, which I guess, in large part, has to do with John & Shaun leaving the band. It's a good CD, but it's not their best work.

They still rock live though. I just saw them at Warped on the 21st and they were amazing. I met Eddie Reyes and Mark O'Connell and they were two of the nicest people I've ever met.

One more thing: I don't like them being on MTV. It saddens me. Maybe I'm selfish, but I like feeling like I had the band to myself (even though I really don't because so many people know them anyway) and not having to worry about people always being like, "lYkE oMg!!!! tHoSe GuYs In ThAt OnE bAnD, lYkE tAkInG bAcK sOmEtHiNg R lYkE tOtAlLy HoTt!!! lYkE, oMg!!!" (It took me forever to type like that, and it's really annoying)
Blah. I don't care. I'm a selfish bitch.

I'm going to warped tomorrow, but I talked to my friend who went today, and he said they didnt feel like playing or something. If thats the case tomorrow I will be really pissed considering they are one of the most looked forward to bands on the tour...

That would piss me off. They just didn't play because they didn't feel like it?

Somebody needs a reality check.

I sound so cliche, but it's true. That kind of thing really makes me mad.
I have so many mixed emotions about them now.

I think I'll go listen to my Brand New CDs.

I like some of it better, but it lacks the emotion of the old stuff.
