im not a fan of screamo or hardcore emo... what are some good emo bands on the softer note?

I don't know if you'll like joan of arc. I do, but many of his songs are abstract and there's the whole "stream of consciousness". Can anyone tell me how the 2003 album was like? Never heard any songs from it

yeah ive heard joan of arc and i went to pick up the cd at TOWER RECORDS (hint hint) and it was pretty f*ckin expesive so i got the get up kids.
