Genghis Tron

anyone getting down with the experimental hardcore? It's pretty good, the new album is great and I can't wait to see them in concert again. :hphones:

www.myspace.com/genghistron for emphasis

the new album leaked so it isn't officially released, but it has some good tunes if you get it.

IamAlejo 05-10-2006 07:40 PM

We were talkin about this in some other thread. It's good stuff. The new cd is damn good.

Decoy 05-10-2006 08:52 PM

IamAlejo 05-11-2006 04:43 AM

fenderjazzforever 05-11-2006 01:05 PM

Experimental Hardcore is alot of fun, and i enjoy the origonality of it, any likes on he is legend? and every time i die? and it may be off topic, but how about, shadows fall too?

IamAlejo 05-11-2006 01:15 PM

i'm not too fond of he is legend. but i am seeing them in june.

didn't like gutter phenomenon by etid...but everything else is good.

fenderjazzforever 05-11-2006 01:18 PM

06.06.06

riseagainstrocks 05-12-2006 03:52 PM

best release date ever. :)

IamAlejo 05-12-2006 06:05 PM

i thought its pretty corny. not really original at all.

riseagainstrocks 05-12-2006 06:57 PM

6/6/6 = Metal.

duh!

IamAlejo 05-12-2006 07:02 PM

No. I understood the 666 deal. Still corny and lame.

riseagainstrocks 05-12-2006 07:04 PM

psh hater. On a related note, do you think the new Omen remake looks good?

IamAlejo 05-12-2006 07:23 PM

remake?

as do I, I can guarantee 10000 other groups will have a release of some sort on that day.

Letcha 05-23-2007 08:28 AM

not sure how i feel about these guys - listening now, though i've heard 'em before. i do dig this song "white walls", though.

Alfred 06-29-2009 09:27 PM

Does anyone wish to discuss the brilliance of this band with me?

Board Up The House is a definite 10/10 for me.

crash_override 06-29-2009 09:30 PM

Board Up The House is really F-ing good. I'm not so quick to give it a ten. But it rocks out. I definately love the electronic element they bring to the table. I look forward to their future work, I have a feeling it will be much better.

Alfred 06-29-2009 09:47 PM

I'm not quick to give it a ten either but I've listened to it many many times, and it's beyond amazing. It just wows me.

And yeah, I'm very excited about hearing more from this band.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 06-30-2009 02:30 AM

I'm with you. I don't think I'd give it a 10 but I do think it's a really good album.

Alfred 07-01-2009 09:40 PM

What's with the BOTH hate? Is it just because they dropped a lot of their grindcore elements and went for a more melodic sound? Its melody is where it shined.

bardonodude 07-01-2009 10:25 PM

melody needs to die, along with kelly osbourne, and nicole kidman

I take back nichole kidman, she's cool I guess. It just sounds nice.

Alfred 07-02-2009 05:18 PM

I guess if you were a fan of them before the album then you'd be disappointed. I got into them after Board Up The House.

The Unfan 07-03-2009 09:58 AM

It's a good album but I'd still consider it their weakest release.

Alfred 07-03-2009 10:13 AM

I guess it all comes down to what you like about the band.

Everyone calls them "cybergrind" but since the release of Board Up The House, that's no longer true. It's probably easier for someone like me who got into them through BUTH to appreciate that album than someone who was a fan when they were more... brutal.

What would you consider their best?

Alfred 07-03-2009 11:48 AM

Probably Dead Mountain Mouth. I like DMM a lot, but Board Up The House feels a lot less confined which I like. The screaming is better too. :)

Cloak Of Love is probably my favorite.

Alfred 07-03-2009 01:40 PM

Yeah, that one was pretty fun too.

Anyone hear the Board Up The House remixes?
