I have to agree with tekron, hes one of the few that actually recommended any songs, and he said nothing to start this problem... as for the list

Taking Back Sunday
Saves the Day
Brand New
Dashboard Confessional
The Used
The Early November
Finch
Thursday
3rd Eye Blind (not many people will agree with this though)
Silverstien
Hawthorn Heights
Sugarcult
Hot Rod Circuit
Story of the Year
Off by One
Wakefield
SR71
Thrice
Dead Poetic
LIT

Too many good bands to name

^ great list, Finch is hands down my favorite band, not crazy about dashboard but I've got nothing against them, and I actually like 3rd eye blind, even though it was insanely overplayed in its time I love "how's it going to be"

I used to hate dash with a passion, but i started listening to them more and more and they just started growing on me, i hate when things you hate end up being things you love... added a few more bands, figured my list was a bit skimpy

A lot like sugarcult's first cd, but more serious, more of a soft rock sound than emo i guess, one of their songs that got a lot of play time was 'Crash'

i dont think SR71 is emo i have their first cd, and they were on MTV a lot i'de say their more pop-punk...as well as LIT, wouldnt say 3rd Eye blind is emo either, but their style doesnt sound too far off from a lot of the emo bands listed their...its just their lyrics arent so emo.

SR71 and LIT might not be as emo as the rest, but i think that 3rd eye blind definitly is, go to the favorite lyrics thread and read the lyrics to the song jumper and tell me thats not emo, its torwards the end

Ladies and gentlemen, I would just like to say that i respect everyone's opinion, and while I myself do not like emo that much, i love the band Handheld. Ok they're not emo, they're emocore. But still, listen to them. They're fast, melodic, emotional and good. http://handheldonline.ca/
