It looks to me like they were taking advantage of fantastic publicity. As long as they don't change their sound to pop, I don't really see it as brainwashing.
Really excited about that.

their first album is really good, thats the only stuff I used to like by them when I first started listening to them. Ian Curtis is prolly my favorite song.
ask them how they started out compared to how they are now. Like when they started out, how long did it take them to gain popularity and ask when they made the transition from playing basement shows to playing venues and how they caught their big break and all of that. Ask them who they went on tour with for their first tour and for how long. Ask them if they still talk to people form saetia and you & I and such.
