Cap'n Jazz is one of my favorite bands, they split in 1995 I think. My favorite song is little league, and take on me..which makes me laugh its entertaining.

Its cause you suck, and I have lots of favorite bands, but cap'n jazz is my FAVORITE FAVORITE.

If you like Cap'n Jazz, then you might like Gauge. Gauge was another indie band that greatly influenced their work. The two bands don't really sound alike, but you might like gauge. I forget which of their CDs was the good one. I had "One", which I think was their discography, but in my opinion it didn't sound too great.

Hooray for the Chicago indie scene

Another good band in that vein is Boilermaker. I have some songs off of Lucedia, and will send them if anyone wants it

I'll check into them, and...capn jazz's cover of winter wonderland is..interesting..
