I can't really think of more than a handful of bands I prefer over CTTS. There are definitely better guitarists as far as the emo genre is concerned (Hot Cross being one), but Drew managed to put out so much emotion even when they were a three piece, that it's hard to match up to the pure talent and energy they throw into a once fairly underappreciated genre. We all know that true emo will never be recognized in the mainstream due to labels like Victory Records miseducating the already miseducated public, but they still draw in fans, who, honest to god, still think Hawthorne Heights is an emo (let alone good) band. At least it's a start.
Man I cannot wait for my Funeral Diner and Welcome the Plague Year cds to arrive. Anyone have a place you can order La Quiete from? |
