Default Noel Gallagher Has a Boring Taste in Music

I just randomly stumbled across this article and it made me laugh so I thought I'd share. For such a famously pretentious jerkwad, his list of favorites is pretty generic. These are his top ten bands of all time:

Quote:
1. The Beatles
2. The Rolling Stones
3. The Who
4. Sex Pistols
5. The Kinks
6. The La’s
7. Pink Floyd
8. The Bee Gees
9. The Specials
10. (Peter Green’s) Fleetwood Mac

Surprised Oasis are not in there.
Not surprised Blur are not in there.

Gods.. Yes, that is a big yawn. Number 1 is definitely no surprise to me.

One thing I noticed is these are all british bands, so.. that's a theme.

I noticed that too. I thought it was hilarious that he even went out of his way to specify the version of Fleetwood Mac without Americans in it.

Haha, yeah

The one I'm most unfamiliar with is The La's. I can't stand There She Goes, yuck. Did they make anything good?

Yeah, most peoples' top tens tend to be a mix of American and British, at least mine is.

"There She Goes" is the only song I know by them. I don't mind it, but I certainly wouldn't put it on a list of favorites.

What, no Canadian?

Noel strikes me as the kind of guy that probably hasn't heard a new record since he started his band.

"Why would I, it's all bollocks today anyway, d'yaknowwhutimean?"
