It's an assumption I'd generally make since it's been overwhelmingly true in my experience, but I agree that you can never account for the occasional outlier.

The thing is - everyone knew this but I'm only discovering it duh - punk has its flavours and sub-genres too. I really love Celtic/Folk Punk: it's just such fun! And then Batty introduced me to the Germs, for my Trollheart Against the World thread, and I didn't hate them as much as I thought I would. There have been a few I've really liked, some I've hated, some I will always hate, but no matter what, I would never say punk is terrible, just that, until recently, it wasn't for me. Elph should really afford metal the same courtesy; just because he doesn't like it don't mean it's ****. Very arrogant attitude.
