I kind of think this is not Elphenor's bag, but maybe he'll love it!

goldendoodle 10-20-2022 01:28 AM

Yuck.

TheBig3 10-20-2022 10:11 AM

well now I feel bad for the guy

Trollheart 10-20-2022 11:03 AM

What are these "feelings" of which you speak?

Seriously: if the guy can't take a joke, he deserves all he gets. If anyone wants to start a thread with music to annoy me feel free. Wouldn't bother me in the least. However I was mildly annoyed by his snipe at me for no reason other than that he doesn't seem to like me, so no, I don't feel sorry for him, not at all.

You know, of course, the thing to do would be to join in and do that old self-deprecatory humour, but I doubt he will.

rubber soul 10-20-2022 11:19 AM

He probably thinks you're part of the bourgeois mainstream or whatever that means. :D

Trollheart 10-20-2022 11:44 AM

I am pretty mainstream, this is true.

TheBig3 10-20-2022 11:51 AM

I'm not sure. I heard like a soundbite coming from my wife's phone and her tik-tok and it sounded like this old turd. I'm like.. why the hell is this thing rearing it's ugly ass head again? It was awful back when it first became a hit and it should be dead and buried. I'd rather listen to babies crying.

Trollheart 10-20-2022 05:18 PM

Or elphenor's music.
Sorry, sorry...
:shycouch:

Norg 10-20-2022 09:31 PM

how would i know what type of music ELP likes n dislikes ..???

Trollheart 10-21-2022 05:16 AM

If it doesn't have punk in it, he's not interested. Also, he despises metal.

And I heard him say Korn are jerks.

Norg 10-21-2022 08:21 AM

ohh ok

how u like Punk but not metal there so similar ...makes no sense ..???? someone plz explain this 2 me

Trollheart 10-21-2022 10:17 AM

No.

rubber soul 10-21-2022 12:23 PM

Metal is a lot heavier than punk and can be more operatic depending on the group. It's also more commercial in some circles (the Glam Metal of the 80's for example). Punk is more simplistic, very rebellious, when done best, very real. Thus, no one can accuse me of being a metalhead, but I absolutely love punk rock (well, most forms anyway- Pop Punk can stick it :D)

I think y'all are thinking of this recent remix/interpolation of the song by David Guetta/Bebe Rexha, no?

I unironically dig it though. Not great alone and not really an imaginative rework, but it's serviceable. I wouldn't call it hip pop though, not really any rap elements present, it's more in line with contemporary House/EDM's tendency to iterate on old songs and old ideas. Reminds me a lot of that recent rework of Nightcrawler's 'Push the Feeling On' (the MK remix of course), by Riton:

Plus - I mean, come on, it's David Guetta, you can't hate on David Guetta, the only DJ who successfully ended racism:

SGR 10-24-2022 08:28 AM

Oh yeah, and here's one for Elph:

Oh and Bebe was okay too I guess.
