I like listening to New Order in the background. Something with a drum machine would work too, like Smashing Pumpkins' Adore.
I find movie scores are good to play in the background. I won't play a score that will pump me up though, like Bloodsport, or Young Guns. Try something like the Crow, First Blood, Bourne Identity. |

Hooray ! But even this level of classical music can give the inexperienced mental indigestion. Me, I love your suggestion but remember, in today’s world of 1 min 43 sec ’tunes' that’s another planet.
