Albums with only ONE huge hit?

Pat Benatar's Get Nervous only had ONE huge hit, Shadows Of The Night.

Guns N'Roses GNR Lies only had ONE huge hit. Patience. IMHO, Guns N'Roses took a HUGE step backwards with GNR Lies. I only like TWO songs from GNR Lies. Patience and Reckless Life. Whereas their Debut Album, Appetite For Destruction, I like EVERY song on AFD.

Quiet Riot's Metal Health album only had ONE huge hit. Come on Feel The Noise.

Define 'huge hit'.

There's all kinds of albums with one single or only one single that got any traction.

Also there are albums, classic albums, that don't have any singles at all.

The title track was big too. Even Slick black Cadillac got lots of plays.

There are too many one hit wonders to count. There's a reason there are so many 70s, 80s and 90s compilations out there.

JUST found out a few minutes ago that Metal Health is Bang Your Head..... I was recommended Bang Your Head on YouTube and I clicked on it and I heard,"Bang Your Head, Metal Health will drive you mad." I then looked at the title that said something like,,"Metal Health (Bang Your Head) . :D

It's a great anthem. I like Kevin's scream at the beginning of the song. I can't remember if it was released as a single before the Slade cover.

Yeah I couldn't give a curse about hits. I would say 90% of the albums I own never had so much as one hit, never mind one huge hit. I never followed the charts, preferring to get into an artist, buy all their albums, then move on to the next. I would, if I heard something decent in the charts, perhaps buy the album the single came from (with varying degrees of success) but if there were no more hits on it I didn't care. In fact, I preferred it that way, as then I was able to listen to songs the chart-buying public could not.

In most cases, I prefer the stuff that wasn't played on the radio or MuchMusic. There are songs on my favourite albums I just can't listen to anymore, as they were horribly overplayed as singles.

The irony is I find myself buying singles now. In my defense, I'm looking for B-sides specifically.

There are bigger hits I don't like all that much but I love their lesser hits.

Prime example. I don't like Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It Anymore," all that much, :/ but I LOVE the lesser hit, " I Wanna Rock(Rock!)" :D
