Well, here's a song from the McGarrigle's that looks with humour at Canada's neighbours to the south:-

As for La Bottine, perhaps it's time to borrow your aunt's record collection and tap into those irresistable French-Canadian roots:

Yes, that's a good point. I share those French Canadian roots. I know my uncle has a number of those records too.

Yeah look I've tried. I've listened to this a few times but each time my attention wanders. It's not that the music isn't good, but that's all it is, good. No pun intended. Or maybe there is. Either way, I can't remember a single track from this album (and I agree it's way overlong) and I don't think I ever would. It's pretty generic, there's nothing that stands out and while there's nothing wrong with the music, there's nothing great about it either.

I appreciate it holds special significance for you, MC, but so do a lot of albums I like, and nobody would think they were great. It's perhaps a cruel joke, but I have to say it: should it not be the Matthew All Right Band instead?

Sorry, sorry.

I just can't get up the enthusiasm to give it another shot. I'm losing the will to live. Better luck next time I guess.

I can't even rate it, as to me it's just so bland and forgettable.

That's ok. We can't please everyone all the time. We always come across albums like that.
