As for lo-fi albums, SGR, well, that's up to the members. But anyone who tries to nominate one will be shot, you have my word on that.
Thank you kindly, on both counts. It is much appreciated!

I hereby nominate:

Fields of the Nephilim - Elizium

Okay, by judicious kicking, elbowing and some possible use of objects which might be considered weapons by certain law enforcement agencies, SGR has made it first, so we go with his choice. As this is Feb 1 we need to be finished by Feb 15 (allowing for V-Day, so we may end up having a slight extension ooer!) so if everyone can give the album a listen in the next few days and get your thoughts down, large or small, involved or simple, before the end of the week we should be able to discuss it before we have to move on. I imagine it's on Spotify but if anyone needs the album I expect SGR can sort you out. Details in the OP, as there will be of all albums nominated.

Sweet. For those without Spotify, you can find a Youtube playlist with each track from the album in order in the link below:

Don't forget the Neil Young/Joe Rogan controversy on Spotify in case some of us are boycotting them. Right now, I'm using Amazon Music and there doesn't seem to be much difference- so far.

To be realistic, I'm modifying SRG's suggestion:-
one week - listening to the album
one week - discussing the album
one week - wrangling about the rules
one week - TH asking if the thread is dead

Totally different bands Trolls.

But I can nominate some great grindcore albums next if that's what you're in the mood for

I'm not sure we even have a member called Sound Rock Garden here. Perhaps you're thinking of another forum?

If I'm ever in the mood for grindcore, you have my permission to kill me.

As far as Spotify use/boycott goes, I think we'll adopt a policy of DADT; remember: what happens in the Album Club stays in the Album Club. Mostly because nobody outside it cares.
