I was there for the entire festival. Went with a couple of friends and decided to stay in town an extra day just to recuperate and happened to walk by the entrance to the Sheraton Hotel on Monday morning and saw Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl standing outside, waiting for their ride. I waved to them and said "great show last night!" and Dave & Krist waved back while Kurt turned and went back into the hotel. I figured maybe he didn't want to be bothered so I just kept walking. There were a lot of great bands and moments at the festival that weekend...
