That's what I told myself a couple of years ago.
Got a book, watched a few videos, and dug in. Gave it up real fast. My brain is simply too fried to retain any 'learned' type stuff. But once my hands got back into shape I started remembering lots of cool ways to play chords and some of them looked complex. Bought a transcriber and plugged in the chord fingerings of a little progression I'd come up with: E5 E (b6, no.3) E7 sus2 Esus (b6) So I've been playing 'jazz' chords all along but didn't know it. Same goes with Theory. Got a book and as I'm going through it I'm realizing I already 'know' all the stuff. All the years off listening and learning **** by ear had already drilled in the knowledge. Anyway, pretty cool!
