I never really got their hype. They may have musical ability and some good songs, but they never really had the “oomph” for me. Probably because they were so sterile when compared to other groups from that period that I enjoy.

Also, how people will blindly worship them and think they’re the coooolest people ever because they are obsessed with the Beatles is extremely annoying.

I think they intentionally didn't play loud enough and potentially had some microphones on the crowd to give the impression of fangirl screams drowning out their concerts.

It's Okay To Leave A Dog In A Hot Car is ****ed up.

They shouldn't have made an alternate cover for Yesterday and Today.

Bad hair (except for George).

The Beatles is a really stupid name that only works now cause its ubiquity changes its cultural context.

The Beatles, (White Album), should've been whittled down to a single LP before being released.

It's probably - again, to echo Neapolitan - the fans more than anything else. To listen to some of them you'd think music could not have/never existed without the Beatles. It's like they're the Second Coming or something. I mean, let's be honest: they were a pretty average rock band who just managed to come to the public notice at a time when their kind of music was becoming wildly popular, and they rode that for years. Listen to them now, how different are they?

The worst though are the youngsters, the ones only discovering the Beatles now and going around as if they personally have discovered them and now everything else sucks.

What sucks about The Beatles is Yellow Submarine and the fact that Ringo had to sing at least 1 song per album. And also Revolution 9.
And John Lennon and Paul McCartney telling George Harrison how to play all the bloody time.

I'm just gonna paste the answer I gave you on another thread:
I never ever, take these things seriously, I think maybe my horrible English makes people think I'm upset all the time, but bloody hell I laugh while I'm replying, I've never been obssesed with anyone (a little bit with Clapton and Plant, perhaps, but I'd never feel superior to anyone who hates them). The only thing that really upsets me in a thread is when someone calls me a "poser", feels superior or thinks that he's the real fan of a certain artist just because I'm younger than him/her. I never pretend that I love the music of someone that I don't know very well. If I say that I, for example, love The Beatles, it's because I've listened a lot to them and I know what I'm talking about, if you think only teens from the 60s have the right to know them, I don't care, I'll just go and enjoy listening to Rubber Soul or Revolver again.
Have a good day!

"Yellow Submarine" is amazing and you're a bad person for not realizing it. "Octopus' Garden" does suck though. It's just a lamer rehash of "Yellow Submarine".

Lord, I can't coment anything without being a bad person
And Octopus's garden is the only acceptable thing Ringo wrote imo.
