Folk rock is fine too (I liked fotheringay they are British)

Mary Black reminds me of Capercaillie singer (her solo albums are not so great), I am not really fond of Capercaillie they are an ok band.

Christy not for me I guess, I did tried.

rebel songs not my thing this is too much jolly.

Akalé Wubé (actually from France and kinda lightweight but still nice Ethiopia-inspired grooves) (S/T, Sost)

Generally the whole Ethiopiques series is a good introduction to a lot of classic stuff so just browse those a bit if you're looking for more.
