Urban Hat€monger ? 08-22-2005 07:02 PM

I`d say Primal Scream given that they`ve had members from The Stone Roses , My Bloody Valentine , The Orb, The Rolling Stones, The Sabres Of Paradise , Jesus & Mary Chain & David Holmes in the band at some point

<<<>>> 08-22-2005 07:10 PM

i almost bought a primal scream album the other day but didnt because i knew nothing about them

sleepy jack 08-22-2005 07:11 PM

Out of those Fugazi.

Otherwise the Highwaymen.

But i vote Fugazi.

<<<>>> 08-22-2005 07:12 PM

feel free to vote other

sleepy jack 08-22-2005 07:14 PM

Hmm, no one said asia huh, thats weird cause um...oh wait their terrible.

Can I vote for supagroup? or do you actually have to be a supergroup?

I have no idea, Ill pick Temple of the Dog for no other reason than I don't think they'll get mentioned otherwise. Maybe Mad Season.

Fenixpunk 08-23-2005 08:48 AM

highwaymen (johnny cash, waylon jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristopherson)
or
Oysterhead (Trey Anastasio, Les Claypool, Stewart Copeland)
or
The Traveling Wilburys (bob dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison)

boo boo 08-23-2005 10:20 AM

disapointing options, where is colonal claypools bucket of bernie brains?, UK?, backbeat?, traviling willberrys?, perfect circle?...emerson, lake and palmer and crosby, stills and nash could have been added too.

tdoc210 08-23-2005 10:42 AM

cream,blindfaith ring any bells?

<<<>>> 08-23-2005 05:47 PM

oysterhead and temple of the dog i should have thought of. but temple was before pearl jam so technically it was a pre-supergroup

Well then substitute Pearl Jam for Mother Love Bone ,hey presto instant supergroup.Plus it was their singer that it was recorded for in the first place.

Zygomycota 08-24-2005 10:03 PM

Emerson, Lake & Palmer is my favorite supergroup of all times.

SATCHMO 08-24-2005 10:13 PM

Word to Oysterhead. Um, I don't think a lot of people know about Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains which, correct me if I'm wrong, includes Les Claypool (Primus), Buckethead, and Bernie Worrell (Big Wu) in addition to Claypool's rhythm section from The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.

Kill For Satan 08-24-2005 10:21 PM

NONE of thee above.

DOWN!

I love 38 Special, they are really special!!! I hate a small band call the elm. They are small, not great singers, and have a very bad behavior!!!!

TheBig3 08-25-2005 09:02 PM

Emerson, Lake, and Palmer were crap. Wasn't Palmer in Asia?

Yeah, he did that after ELP disbanded.

Keith Emerson (The Nice)
Greg Lake (King Crimson)
Carl Palmer (The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, went on to form Asia with John Wetton from King Crimson and Steve Howe from Yes)

I like ELP, Lucky Man is an awesome song.

Well i can't say you are wrong, they have made more mediocre albums than great ones, however their first 5 albums were amazing, i never heard them knock those early albums, just everything they have done since Brain Salad Surgery, and yeah i agree that they really lost it after BSS, that was argubly their best album, they just struggled to make a decent follow up that their career just went downhill from there....And please for the love of god don't even mention Love Bleach.

Urban Hat€monger ? 09-19-2005 12:34 PM

I`m no ELP expert , I have heard Brain Salad Surgery ages ago & thought it was alright & i`ve always been meaning to hear more so I won`t knock em.

I think my mother still has the Fanfare For The Common Man single somewhere , she was always playing that when I was a kid.

I'm not sure if these guys are a supergroup, but the Elephant 6 Collective, or whatever they're called are awesome. Mainly 'cause of Jeff Mangum.

boris jawaka 09-20-2005 04:46 PM

Merkaba 09-23-2005 12:37 AM

boo boo 09-23-2005 05:46 AM

My favorite supergroup would be either ELP or Cream.

The point of picking other is that you pick it, and then post who you picked.
