I think there’s something about Parkening that maybe he took from Segovia for some reason his playing just feels warmer and more relaxed. I wonder how much is recording techniques, the actual guitars and strings and so on, technique, and even just my imagination.

Ambient 1: Music for Airports by Brian Eno: the first and favourite for me
Probably is the best of the entire genre even. I can’t believe there’s still critics who don’t give this a full 5/5 Stars. The main theme is as timeless as Gymnopédie.

It’s not instrumental though! But the vocals are without language so they don’t really disturb.

Thanks, OH; I'm glad that so far you are enjoying the albums I've mentioned. Clearly none of the artists are new to you, but I'm happy to've pointed you to a TD album you hadn't heard; with such a huge discography, any guidance is welcome with that particular band.

I didn't realise that you were going to methodically listen and comment on each suggestion. If so, I might've made you a shorter list perhaps, though as it is, I have already trimmed from the list any R Fripp material, or the E Satie that you mentioned a couple of posts back.

I had never heard of Red Buddha before.

Have you ever heard of the Yoshida Brothers?
