The question should rather be: Does anyone wonder what OccuktHawk goes through trying to reign in feral undisciplined students?

The kind of music I look for is something I want to play everyday and I listened to that EP every day since I recommended to you in this thread. To my ears their music like a mix of Traffic and Brazilian Girls with a bunch of other genre stuff e.g. Jazz, and Electronica. The first song I heard by them was "Start Running" and I thought that could easily fit on John Barleycorn Must Die or The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys.

King Shabaka has credentials and plays his heart out. I know it's not chill but it's one of the coolest things I've ever heard. If you don't like him today, there is always tomorrow.
^ I couldn't resist a description like that, and I'm very glad I didn't! I'm listening to this now and enjoying every gorgeous drop of sound. Easily the best thing I've listened to in a long time! Big Thanks.

Y’all can tease me for enforcing the protocol but most people (elph) ask for recs and then don’t even listen. I’m showing full respect for to those who took the time to make submissions.

As for my classes when I taught I wasn’t anal at all. But tbf I take listening to music far more seriously than I ever took teaching.

Thank you. That means a lot to me, because those bands and musicians mean a lot to me. It also says a lot about you too. If you weren't open-minded and had a deep love of music those album recs (both in this thread and elsewhere) wouldn't mean anything to you.

I've been telling total strangers irl and people at work about this band. I'm glad someone I know digs them.
