cant find historical reviews there at all.
if I type in (for example) Abbey Road all I get is the 50th Anniversary review. I want to read the review someone did in 1969 to see what the reviewers thought of the album upon release. |

Is it as bad as when Pitchfork rewrites reviews where they slammed albums that have since become acclaimed?

I can navigate pitchfork at least but it’s pretty clunky as well I do remember that about pf though RS probably has more journalistic integrity but pf is less likely to freeze up my device I have those RS guides in hardcover print - I know RS has long since become a laughing stock but those guides are still a good resource Their jazz record guide is good

They became a laughing stock for failing to adapt to the music world evolving and their site not being mobile responsive kinda reflects that. I bet they were a better resource when radioplay was the primary way of achieving popularity.
