Then it was all British: NME MM Mojo Uncut and by far most importantly The Wire.

and there was this less known one called Sound Choice

I discovered a lot of stuff through sound choice

yeah
when I was young all we really had was MM and NME, I raged NME streets ahead of MM, found that MM was aimed at a slightly younger audience.

Mojo/Uncut...I can pretty well (most of the time) take their reviews as Gospel
