Nihiloxica "Kaloli"

Was looking for some more organic rhythms, and something not from Europe as I need to branch out a bit. Basically a Ugandan rhythm section with a drum kit and a synth (not in a cheesy way). It really gels; the western and African instruments combined create something tight, and super groovy. The synth basically just adds texture and atmosphere more so than being just something used to play melodies, which I really dig.

Good album! I almost included it in this mix.

I always get a bit annoyed if I see RA or Pitchfork review anything I like or listen to. Both sites are insufferable wankfests. Good album tho.
