Idk, I feel like nerds obsessed with a genre would have a hard time understanding that other fans of the genre don't want to hear its music on the basis of how new it is.

This is better than I originally thought it was. It’s aging well. If they had just been a little more judicious and cut about 20 minutes off this could be a borderline classic.
