Default YD reviews YOUR favorite album

And only your favorite album.

I've done TH-esque review threads like this before and always suffer from burnout, so I came with the idea to start one and set a defined ending to ensure I stay motivated to "finish" it. Therefore, I will accept one album rec from anybody that wants to post. I will finish all of those reviews, then I'll close this thread.

Under that premise, I thought it would be fun to make the theme be each member's favorite album. I don't want recommendations that are catered to any preconceptions of my music taste, just give me the album that you would state if someone forced you to name your favorite album with a gun to your head. You can, of course, instead just give me whatever you want, but sticking with that theme makes it fun. Plus I would have a hard time naming the "favorite" album of most of the members here, so it would be cool to know.

That's all, really. Choose carefully and know that I will give your favorite album the very focused, in-depth review it deserves. Don't worry if I've heard the album before or not, because chances are that I've never formally reviewed it.

Reviews:
pg.lost - Key (recommended by Ki)
Arnold Schoenburg - Verklärte Nacht, Op.4 (recommended by Frownland)
Pretend - Tapestry'd Life (recommended by Exo)
Kas Product - Black & Noir (recommended by Black Francis)
Iggy Pop - The Idiot (recommended by Tristan)
guys dressed as clowns yelling into a microphone - songs (recommended by Buttlard)
The Fall - Grotesque (After the Gramme) (recommended by elphenor)
Yung Lean - Unknown Memory (recommended by Norg)

nice

Gonna give pg.lost a couple of listens before the review, Ki. I predict I'll have it written up tomorrow

Also despite the fact that your username is now "key", you will always be Ki.

I know you're probably thinking TMR for me, but I like this better than any album and would like to make it my pick

Alright, looking forward to it. Also can't tell how serious you're being, but I'm very intrigued nevertheless.

Pretend
Tapestry'd Life

I was gunna go with some other ones but I feel in my heart that this is it. I never really get tired of it and it best encapsulates what my ear likes instead of some other historical favorites that have kind of gotten old as my ears have evolved.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

First album in the thread that I've heard before, and in fact I've listened to this dozens of times. Looking forward to formally writing my thoughts on it
