That’s the magic of the internet: there are infinite resources on every topic out there

Yet so many people use the internet as an echo chamber for their sadness instead of utilizing the valuable resources out there that could help them and improve their lives

I applied for a bottom of the barrel helpdesk job. Nothing more than being the little bitch that answers the phone and tells dummies to try restarting their computer. You too could get such a job

So then I went from knowing nothing about networking to having multiple certifications in the field and being hired as a Network Engineer in a span of six months. How did I accomplish this magical feat? I downloaded free PDFs of textbooks online and studied the **** out of them until I could confidently go crush the cert exams. You too could download free PDFs online and study them

I didn’t do anything special besides find a topic I was interested in and then set a study routine.

I don't think anyone here on MB will dispute that there aren't good opportunities out there if they look. They just don't like being told they should be looking instead of griping about it.

And yet you're completely mystified by basic talk about computer hardware. Wouldn't the money you're spending on a house be better used for some community college courses to better yourself in the field you're now marrying yourself to? Or do you just not know enough about your field to know that you're incredibly limited in it?

I think that they just rather would stay as they are than pursue the opportunities that you describe. At least I feel that way. You guys need to understand that you lives do not necessarily seem attractive to others, that they might not make other people happy.
