if you can do more with less, you always should, that's my view
I just didn’t think they were doing more with less, instead they were doing less with less

Missing the point ain't a virtue mate. Album's full of energy, you just have to listen to it louder.

I’ve been spoiled by superior albums. If I want some energetic music I’ll turn to options that are more musically interesting, have a better vocalist, play more technically challenging stuff, etc. Just because its high energy doesn’t make it good

The energy is just one of the great components of it. There's also the singular vocals, unique and interesting songwriting, and gallons of attitude. It's cool if you're not into it, but ****ting on albums that you don't get usually just ends up turning into a self-diss as you can see from the last several posts. After all, 50,000 Fall fans can't be wrong.

You think I didn’t get. I think that I definitely got it and I just hated it.

No idea what elph is talking about either, there are more interesting and unique ideas in 1/10th of a Wire album than there was on that whole thing. I’d be happy to do an in-depth review of Pink Flag or Chairs Missing to articulate why I think that at some point

You absolutely did not if you think there isn't a smorgasbord of unique ideas and great music on that album.

Even if it was some kind of competition, your reasoning for hating the album tells me more about how much you understand the album's appeal than your word. I recommend listening to it when you're in a better mood, possibly after listening to some more Fall albums to get accustomed to their singular style. You might come around.

Well I already stated in the thread that I want to give another album a chance. You might even be right about the mood point. I wouldn't say I was in a "bad" mood when I listened to it by any means but perhaps I simply wasn't in a "punk" mood. That's a flaw of doing a thread like this where I force myself to listen to certain albums in a certain order and I'm trying to get them done relatively quickly. I think obviously people can have different reactions to their first listen of an album depending on tons of contextual factors.
