When you say "Classic Songs" what immediately comes to mind for me are old R&B and Golden Oldies of the 50s and 60s. However if you want to use the broadest definition and the widest umbrella for "Classic Songs" then I will include anything, any genre, whether the song made the charts or not. I am a fan of a bunch of stuff that doesn't make it into the charts. I have plenty of songs I could mention regardless what anyone thinks it has earned its "Classic" status. It's all relative anyway for this forum at this point.

  2. Louis Jordan and the Tympany Five - Beans and Cornbread
  3. Chuck Berry - Come On
  4. The Cadillacs - Speedoo
  5. Bo Diddley - Road Runner
  6. Slim Harpo - Shake Your Hips
  7. Wilson Picket - A Land of a Thousand Dances
To keep track of songs I posted for MarieMarie I made her a playlist. I'll do the same for you. It's entirely up to you if you want to use it or not.

I'm not a fan of sixties or fifties music, rockabilly and what not, so be prepared. But I'll listen to them.

Comments: I read that Zebra started doing covers of, among others, Yes, and it shows in this track. Almost an acoustic opening, very laid-back, reminds me a little of “I’ve Seen All Good People” or something similar. Kicks up nicely then, but the vocal is much more restrained than in the other of their tracks I just listened to. Nice versatility in the vocal. In the video they kind of do The Verve and also recreate the end scene from The Seventh Seal. Sort of. Another great track. You know me so well, man!

Comments: Oh god, this is the kind of bland drivel I hate. That close-harmony singing reminds me more of radio ads for soap or something, and it’s so limp and weak. Slap that bass? More like tip it and run away? Sorry but I hated that.
