Ex: ""Six marathons in six days? Man, he really Trollhearted that one!"
or
"In an interview given to SFX magazine, George RR Martin admitted he would never finish the sequel series to Game of Thrones in time for the release of the first movie from the franchise. I'm afraid I just Trollhearted it, he said morosely."

Also: "to pull a Trollheart" (verb)
Lit: to perform the action of Trollhearting.
Not to be confused with going home for sex with Trollheart. See also "massive disappointment" and "waste of time".

Title: “Shake Your Hips”
Artist: Slim Harpo
Taken from: Scratch My Back
Genre: Blues
Year: 1966
Suggested by: Neapolitan
Familiarity: Zero
Comments: Like the harmonica, and the upright bass (?) is pretty cool too. Good fast blues tune, and to be fair I usually prefer my blues to be slow and bittersweet, but this ain’t bad at all.

Title: “Land of a Thousand Dances”
Artist: Wilson Pickett
Taken from: The Exciting WIlson Picket
Genre: Soul
Year: 1966
Suggested by: Neapolitan
Familiarity: Hey! I actually know this one!
Comments: Some good soul vibes here, but I do know this song. Normally I’d say pass as I already have heard it, but since I didn’t know I knew it, as it were, I’ll review it. And it’s pretty damn fine. What can I say? Na-na-na-na-na etc. :)

I'm pretty sure I've heard Exhorder, Demolition Hammer and Kreator, but I can't say for 100% sure, so I'll give them a go.

Title:"Si tú supieras compañero"
Artist:Rosalía
Taken from:Los ángeles
Genre:New Flamenco/Urbano
Year: 2017
Suggested by: Frownland
Familiarity: Zero
Comments: Like acoustic guitar intro, could do without the kid speaking in Spanish, but Rosalía has a beautiful voice, which coming after SOPHIE’s assault on my ears (to be fair, it was more the ****ing keyboards than her, but still, didn’t help) is a real benison. Just lovely. Very relaxing, very elegant, very restrained. Love this. She shows how powerful her voice can be about halfway through when she rips loose. Stunning. The cellos or violins are lovely when they begin, but a bit off-putting as they go on. Still a great song though.

^ Yes, a bit of a slow start, but a great song by an artist who is completely new to me, so thanks to both of you for the combination rec. :thumb:

PS: excellent funny definition of Trollhearting too!

Any familiarity with Billy Cobham? Spectrum is a classic.

Trollheart 11-17-2019 07:54 AM

Yes I believe you suggested the album for my original Love or Hate, or possibly Classic Albums? I think I recall liking it. I'll give the track another go.

I consider Bolin's work on this as the missing link between Hendrix and Van Halen.
