I was gonna say Comus but they had an album in 1974 I didn't even know about. Which apparently isn't that good.

I think the Heartbreakers are the same thing for the Rolling Stones that Dead Boys are for The Stooges but are conceptually advanced enough that they are still cool enough to stand on their own. Hey, that's a band worthy of this thread.

Cause Radio Birdman **** on Dead Boys like actual birds ****ting on your car and do so with vastly more personality than Dead Boys could ever dream of.
