You exist purely to procreate and contribute to the societal machine. That's really all that can be said for evolution's plan for you as an individual. Saying "**** you people I like watching Fritz the Cat" or whatever the **** isn't really a part of that plan which is why you have to force time out of your day to enjoy that ****.

Sounds like something you make out to be worse than it is to feel better about being by yourself.

evolution's plan
I get what you’re saying but evolution doesn’t have a plan and is probably better understood by not using the language of anthropomorphism.

And just because we are all the end product of an evolutionary process to this point doesn’t necessarily mean we’re going to continue to behave in a way that’s evolutionarily advantageous.

Still, point taken as long as we're clear that I could never consider a child unassailable. That is to say, I love the music of Coltrane far more than I would a daughter or son. Nor could any human approach my dog. Figuratively or literally :ar_15s::ar_15s::ar_15s:

There's a very big difference in how music is consumed communally and how it is consumed in solitude.

Even live it feels like a personal experience to me. I used to mosh and **** but mostly I feel like I’m alone. If it’s a great show I don’t feel like I’m at a concert. I feel like all there is is the music. Like nothing else exists not even me. I’m only talking about the unassailable here.

I don't get recommended stuff that much, but I think people just sometimes fall into the trap of not being that interested in music outside of their pre-established ecosystems. You get accustomed to a certain temperature range and so when you get prompted to leave it, you leave reluctantly.

Opposite for me. I listen to 99% of my collection alone.
