This one starts off quite disconcerting with its vocals that alternate between harsh whispers and distorted screams, all this with a madman banging on the piano in the background. Someone is...frustrated.

The inclusion of a pretty melody played on acoustic guitar and sung so prettily quickly defuses the tense situation, though, giving the listener time to regroup. I think it's just a ploy to pull me in deeper before putting the boot in...let's wait and see. Gotta put a filter on your heart, bro. And I'm supposed to laugh at your boo-hoos, right?

Is this the kind of music that helps you kill yourself or prevents you from doing so? Is it an invitation or merely cathartic? I honestly don't know, not being a miserable fuck.

Dude, it's been eight years. Are you going to do it, or are you just crying for attention?

5/10

Three banned members on this list. I'm too busy to write. This thing is going to fail right at my album and I deserve it.

Wow you're not even going to review your own album? Super weak sauce, especially for a mod.

Of course I am you f*ck. I just bought new speakers and they're being delivered today. I'll pick them up after work. Sine I moved, I haven't been able to listen to any records due to the size of my room and my former speakers not fitting well. I've been shopping around for the right bookshelf speakers and settled on some Klipsch R-14PMs. I'm listening to two records tonight. One is the Voyager Golden record that is also arriving today and the other one is my deluxe box set of Giles Corey on some beautiful red wax which I can't find a picture of but here's the box...

So yeah. F*ck you.

I agreed with what he began saying. Then he went a bit off the reservation.

I am reluctant to say anything negative about album club member's albums cause I said something negative about Trollheart's album once and it boiled inside of him for weeks, and then one day he went off like a volcano and he wrote a wall of text on what a terrible human being I am - all due to that album review. So I don't want to go down that road again.

I am all into sad songs about rainy days. I am in my element listening to songs with melancholy melodies. I gravitate towards Minimal Wave, Dark Wave and Gothic Rock, but this album didn't work for me. (edit: I am not saying that Giles Corey plays in those styles. I wouldn't know how to classify him as an artist, or them as a band. Discogs has Giles Corey tagged with Genre: Rock, Folk, World, & Country Style: Acoustic, Shoegaze, Folk)

a very neutral 5/10
