I like the composition. It's like 80s' guitar backed by 90s' (over)use of break beats.

Aldous Harding has a new song - or newly posted on YT last month. I love her voice in this song.
Star Party reminds me of The Shop Assistance, so I had to them too.

Aldous Harding - Lawn

Star Party - Shot Down

The Shop Assistance - All Day Long

Nice! I like the rhythm of the ALdous Harding song and the guitar outro especially. And the music video is weird as usual, that didn't disappoint. To two last songs sound similar indeed. I like the distorted vibes of both, although in the last one that's partly due to recording quality. The singers voice reminds me of one of the old punk singers but I can't pin down who

Cool beans. Aldous Harding is a new favorite of mine. NZ has a decent music scene.

I was trawling through YouTube videos, looking for that old punk singer. I couldn't find the singer but I came across these songs. I'm going to guess you already know of Love of Diagrams, right?

Love of Diagrams - Mountain

Neon - Standing on the Other Side

The first song really reminds me of Sleater-Kinney. I like it a lot. Muscular bass and guitar sound, a nice middle ground between shoegaze and punk. The second one has a lovely bassline and percussion. I don't care much for the vocals but the music grooves

Check out this recent house remix/mashup:

Oh yeah, and what about this one (it's the abridged version of the track, but it gets to the point quicker)?

thanks guys!
I still have trouble really getting into house. Especially the Nylon Strung track, I think it was partly due to the singing. After a while I enjoyed the Kasablanca one. I wan't familiar with Louis Cole but this rules in a goofy but funky way. Love the weird sax and the dumb captions
Also @fire I'm still catching up with your recs, the Akkajee album rules
