^the original is one of my favourite Bob Dylan songs! I don't like this one nearly as much, but still nice.

(sorry, I'll get to the earlier recs, songs related to my name have priority)

I finally got to reviewing these!

Ant - I like both of these songs. The first one has a cool bass of course, and it reminds me of MGMT. It's a pity that I don't really like his way of singing (to mannered I guess) because I like his voice. The second song is probably nice to relax to when you're stoned and it's nice and atmospheric. Cool percussion.

grindy - This sounds to me like combination of free jazz and noise rock. I wouldn't listen to this for pleasure, and for someone who doesn't know much about this kind of music it's not easy to get into, but the dymanics, energy and sound are cool for some reason, especially in the second minute when there's this part that has a great rhythm. And I always like the sound of creaking wood.

Bat - Meh. 2 metal 4 me, and not enough to compensate that. Especially the last song tries too hard and sounds cheesy in a way that I don't like. It's weird how sometimes cheesiness bothers me and sometimes not. I like some parts of the choruses, especially the 'go ahead and talk ****'-part of the first song. That was pretty great. But still, for music like this I prefer Jane's Addiction or that one KMK song.

Frown - The first song is a meh. 2 hard rock 4 me. At least it has some swing to it. The second one also isn't my kind of sound, but I like it better. It swings too, and the chorus is catchy. I think I mostly like it because the funkiness reminds me of Led Zeppelin. So the third song is where Debaserr's avatar comes from. The blippy melody is a bit of a ripoff of some annoying pop song that I can't remember, but I don't care, because I kinda like this one, it manages to take me by surprise now and then. I do wish this Sophie had gone easy on the chipmunk-voice thing.

Nea - Vapour Trail is my favourite Ride song, nice one. Love the stuttering drums and the guitar sound so much. Love the second song too. Didn't know Lora Logic, but if someone would scientifically develop a song to be liked by me they might come up with something like this. I like the third song a lot too, one of those songs to let wash over you.

I know, I know. I confess to the crime of liking them when I'm in the right mood

I had a feeling you already knew Ride. I feel the same way about Martian Man. I love that song. Such a perfect song to unwind to and loose oneself in the music. You might have heard of Lora Logic, but maybe not by name. Lora played says on the X-Ray Spex debut album - not sure how much recognition she gets. She played sax on "Oh Bondage Up Yours!" and "I Am a Cliché." And they say they kept her arrangements, even though she left the band. The song, I'm Fine by Hazel English. has such good lyrics

^Both of these songs are beautiful, I loved them. Dreamy sound, beautiful chords and she has a very pleasant voice. Very captivating
