I know the feeling. My high school's song is based on the German national anthem so I learned the words to that for whenever we had to sing ours.

his lyrics are kinda "poetic" so i can only guess that he talks about not beeing able to fit, and/or feeling lost. here's the first verse (although it cannot really be translated, at least not by me) i got an empty rusty shotgun and a truth handy as a razorblade and i roam around from town to town with a head full of gold. and now for something a little more pop-oriented: the least dinausaur jr-like dinausaur jr song: take a run at the sun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYnTv7d0wpw and that one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FDE09tjdFU |

Hey I did, and I am still waiting for what you think about the song.

Most of these threads started out as active as this one, and I also don't respond as quickly as I did at the beginning, but that's just because I have been busy lately. I try my best to keep up, it's a lot of fun

Neapolitan - I love the first song, that rhythm section! Well, and the guitar too. The second one is all right, I like the typical 80s post-punk tone of the guitar and the moodiness
ziggywas - I have never really gotten into Dinosaur Jr. I don't really know why, except that I have something against J. Masics' voice. I like some of their songs though. I had not expected a Dinosaur Jr. song to sound like this, but I kinda like it. The bouncy guitar riff during the verses is nice. The second song is great. That bass is awesome, and works so well with the higher tones Dharma & Greg - What kind of metal are the first four songs? They sound very alike to my undiscriminating ears. The gurgling singing sounds ridiculous to me, but the guitar sound kicks ass if you're in the right mood. I especially love the percussion, it sometimes sounds like they're beating on pans. I like how the last song is repetitive, but there are subtle variations in the bass on the background. Anteater - I'm not a fan of laid-back synth music (if that's what you can call this), but it reminds me of Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond, so I enjoyed it better than I expected
