I'm not normally one for post-punk. I'm much more of a fan of more aggressive strains of punk, or more "fun" subgenres, and post-punk is usually morose and subdued. This album, however, surprised me. It's got a pleasant poppy-ness and an edge that is captivating and endearing. The album went a little long and I began to get bored at the 45 minute mark, but all in all, it was excellent.
8/10
