There were days where I just wrote on the board “go to google classroom”

I set up a large noisy fan to my left and put a boom box on my desk facing me with stuff like peter brotzmann playing loud enough to almost completely drown out their chatter. The wall was to my right. I didn’t greet or talk to any of them all day long (I nodded and wrote passes if they approached me for a clinic or bathroom pass- I shook my head no for anything else) nor did I get out of my seat. I ignored everything they said and if a kid got checked out the secretary would have to walk down to my room because I put a box over the intercom so I wouldn’t have to hear it. The kids called those days “devil music days” lol

Hearing free jazz is easily the greatest thing those worthless cultureless illiterate ****s will ever experience. As sorry as I was I was still the best teacher they’ll ever have. In fact, they needed to see someone openly reject everything that was happening to them and the only one who did that was me. They were being institutionally ****ed from top to bottom and there wasn’t a teacher in America that could do **** about it and you couldn’t have either. At least, I modeled the truth that everything about that ****ing ****hole of a school deserved to be rejected. Including them. They needed to know that the way they destroyed everything they didn’t deserve my effort. As a full title one school we had more money than rich neighborhood schools. What did they do? They destroyed everything and then complained about how ****ty it was. **** them and **** the oppression they came from. Believe me, you don’t have this same kind of dysfunction in Minnesota.

TBH it'd be nice if everyone got to experience the complete deconstruction of their normal society just once because it's so useless and so constant in everyone's lives that I doubt anyone even notices that all it takes is one hiccup of their orderly normalcy to realize that they're existing in a bubble of nonsense their entire lives.

Goddamnit I never complained once about cutting fish all day. I’m not that miserable since I quit.
