I saw a girl wearing a jacket covered with tributes to this band that she drew herself so I googled them and noticed this album got great reviews. After listening to it, I’m amazed (and I know that I shouldn’t be) that people who actually make money writing about and critiquing music fawn over this garbage. There’s a bright spot here and there but overall it’s really very bad music and most of the songs have no redeeming quality or artistic merit whatsoever.

That album needs way more love.

One song goes through the next like nothing, vapid would be the word I would use to describe it overall.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Yeah from what I've heard of it it's a lot less sappy and more feel-good. Their first album is pretty tight.

Yeah. It never really crashes down but it’s still the same tricks.

All these albums would be better with Jarboe.

It is. I only really know the first album but I love it, it's vibrant and melodious. I'd recommend listening to that one if you feel like giving them a chance

"No Home Record" by Kim Gordon, formerly of the legendary Sonic Youth. Killer album, there's so many cool ideas here. I think many members of the forum would enjoy it

It reminds me a little of The Whitey Album. Allmusic.com only credits Gordon with the guitar work- maybe Thurston taught her a thing or two or maybe Lee doesn’t want it on record that he’s been backdooring the old lady. But yeah, it is a solid release, I agree.
