Their music works pretty well with Puppet Combos' games.

Danheim - Hringrás (Dark Folk, Nordic Folk Music, Tribal Ambient) I love the Wardruna project, and this album sounds like the dude who made it gave those records a spin or two. However, there are marked differences, like with the last track, which has an almost eastern European gypsy feel to the music. Just a heads up: track four, the song about life and death, uses real human bones as sound objects. Edgy. |

I listened to nocturnal today. It’s really good but is it great? What separates this from the pack?

Pile Green and Gray Fantastic rock record. EDIT: More thoughts. This album is much more fleshed out than their last two records. They really build a nice tempo with some really hard and driving tracks and then slip into more melancholy vibes with ease. There's a lot of bands that tend to do this and sometimes not well (Deafheaven) but I think Pile really commands full control over this record and they know what the f*ck they're trying to do and it sounds great. |

Biota - Fragment For Balance
Biota have always been incredible and unique and the new album is among their very best. Weird-ass folky something. Beautiful, but angular. Don't sleep on it! Frown, Mord, Hawk... https://biota.bandcamp.com/album/fragment-for-balance
