I didn't really like Quelle Chris's album last year with his collaborator and romantic partner, so I'm very surprised to find how much I love his latest album, Guns. There is a jazzy, experimental edge to this record that really makes it stand out. Also, the song "You, Me & Nobody Else" is the best love song of 2019.

I'm on the reverse since I loved Everything's Fine but was really underwhelmed by Guns. It had its moments though, It's the Law is an incredible track.

That captures it well. He reminds me of Brian Wilson in that his lyrics are often almost childlike; when that works it has a directness and vulnerability which is very moving, especially in combination with the melodies
