Here's a recent album from Venezuelan born musician Ray Lugo with film score composer Jake Fader...

Very good man, I was wondering where does all your taste for Latin music come from

Mitú from Colombia, a favorite

I blame "The Girl from Ipanema." Specifically this version...

Definitely not a psych song by any stretch of the imagination but that's almost certainly where my addiction began back in the 60's. Once I heard that song, I was hooked and had to have more. Before I knew what had happened, I was into the Colombian stuff, the Mexican stuff, the Peruvian stuff, etc.
It's become an insatiable life-long hunger for more which never ends.

Here's one from Peru. A bit of mostly instrumental avant-garde/electronic/psych with a Theremin featuring prominently throughout. Some of it reminds me of early 70's Pink Floyd, and some of it reminds me of eerie 50's sci-fi film scores...

Veronik - Anómala (2017)

Oh yeah, haha so good to know that it was Astrud Gilberto's fault. The 60's are great, I'm pretty sure I lived my past life in the 60's

This one is the third album from a group called "Los Espiritus" (The Spirits) out of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with their album titled "Agua Ardiente" (Burning Water)...

Not primarily a psych group, but this song has a bit of a groovy psych vibe to it.

From Mexico City, Mexico...
