Is "Heroes" and Low any good?

I have Aladdin Sane (my favourite), Ziggy, Hunky Dory and Man Who Sold The World. Not sure if there's anything left for me to get that I'm bound to like.

Yes. They are both essential.
You also need to get Station To Station.

I'm more a fan of the glam rock kind of sound rather than the ambient type sound.. So I'm not sure I'll like Low and "Heroes"

What sound does Bowie take on for Station to Station?

Get Heathen as well - one of my favourite of his later albums, and one that easily stands up with his 70s work.

Fuck it "Heroes", Low and Get Heathen are all downloading. If I don't like them they can just rot in my iTunes as I play Aladdin Sane to death.

It's Art Rock I guess.
IMO it's his best album.

I always think that genre sounds really pretentious.
But I'll give them a go. I'll download Station to Station next.

Close, but it's not quite up there with me. TVC15 lets it down a little bit - great song (as the live versions you'll hear should testify), but it wasn't done quite as well as it could have been in the studio. At least to me anyway.

Station to Station is creeping up on Ziggy for my favourite, I think Ziggy will always be top though for its nostalgic value. Low 3rd? After that there could be about 5 competitors...
