What do people think of Low? I like it and it's clearly a very good album, but I never found the second side half as impressing as people tend to make out - especially considering the other great material of the same sort (e.g. Eno's) which had already been done prior.

I think it's good if you put it into context.
He wasn't an avant garde musician , he was a pop singer with an ear for a song. You think , the modern day equivalent of Bowie putting out Low is someone like Robbie Williams coming out with a jazz fusion album AND it being good. Which as you would imagine is highly unlikely.
