how is killing yourself a cop out? it really pisses me off hearing people saying that suicide is a "cop out" or a "pussy's way out" or **** like that. I lost a very good friend of mine to suicide, and another friend attempted, but is luckily still alive. let me tell you, if you've never been at that place in your life yourself, you have absolutely no right to pass any judgement on them for their actions. at that point, you're not able to think, all you want is for the pain to end. you're so consumed by it that logical reasoning fly's out the window. you can't even recognize all the love and support surounding you if you only asked.

What I'm saying is, he cheated himself and the world out of his talent by ending things that way.. plus he just wasnt sane, i mean when your on those kinda drugs, you cant honestly tell me that it was a rational desicion.

ok, misunderstood u'r post a bit. u'r right, he was so out of it he wouldn't have known what he was doing. i was talking to some people about this, one guy wondered if his music would have been as good without the drugs. sort of an interesting question, just made me think about the extent to which drugs consumed him.

Although I was real young at the time Nirvana made it big, I do remember how much the band meant to my old brother and his mates, and now I'm at that age myself, the music suddenly makes a lot of sense to me now. I think they were great at the time and for many people they really hit deep.

eltiraaz, i think you have a very childish view of this whole situation, especially in relation to kurdt's abuse of heroine etc

please read "heavier than heaven" by charles r. cross and i think you'll gain a lot more insight on kurdt's whole life

I've seen the DVD. I know about Kurts life.. I know his parents abandoned him and left him with his grandparents.. i know that he lived a very ****ty life.

I still dont think that killing yourself is ever the right way out of a situation. I'm sure if he hadnt things would have worked out at least a little better. Of course music wouldnt have been the same if he hadnt. Im sorry if you disagree but the only reason Nirvana is so MEGA popular is because Kurt Cobain commited suicide. If they would have continued to make records people would have eventually let nirvana fade into mediocrity and their music wouldnt be taken SO seriously.

im done talking about this

I was 6/7 when kurt died

Sick of people going on about how he was murdered.
Also he wasn't the only member of nirvana that mattered, I hate it when people just love the guy when in reality he ****ed up nirvana.
