Hey guys, sorry I'm not responding right away. I'm finishing my classes this morning and then heading home for the weekend, so when I get back I'll take a look at all the stuff you've sent me.

Cave In are a really unique alt rock outfit that I actually haven't done much delving into. A little post-hc here and space rock influence there go a really long way and their sound proves that. They actually remind me a bit of Failure, although they were way more grungy than they were hardcore. Still I enjoyed the song from the rocking first half to the droning slog of a second half.

Now that I've listened to this, Exo, I want to ask you to check out one of my all-time favorite 70's albums: The Guess Who So Long, Bannatyne There are two possibilities here... 1: You've never heard this album. 2: ...you've probably never heard this album. This album is as underrated as underrated gems come. Packed full of interesting and eclectic tunes (probably the most creative in TGW's catalog) and backed by the powerhouse voice of Burton Cummings, this **** (hopefully) will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between. It's seriously, to me, one of the most consistently good and entertaining albums of the 1970's and the best record of 1971. Check it out mate. |

The addition of the sax is welcome, but the lyrics and vocals are really repetitive and got on my nerves very quickly. It doesn't really justify it's length and ends up just rolling with a handful of ideas for way too long. Would've been better if it truncated a good 5 minutes or so.
