Well that's because The Orb is dull and trite.

I'm rarely that into ambient dub but Raime's an exception. They just have such meticulous and interesting atmospheres.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that- I like U.F.Orb and some parts of Orbus Terrarum- but I definitely agree they're not the most adventurous or exciting group out there. Their new album is one of my favorites from this year, though. Maybe that's cause of how little things I truly enjoyed from 2018, so I could be talking straight out of my ass.

Btw have you ever heard Circle, Mondo? They're another more modern krautrock band. Their album Taantumus from 2001 is really good.
I like em about as much as the last time I told you I liked em

I think everyone has a gateway genre into other types of music. Prog rock was mine. I don't like it nearly as much as I used to but there are some great bands I'll still give credit to when the cards are down.

Possibly my favorite song of 2015.
I like Joanna- I think she's a great songwriter and she's got a unique voice. Some of her vocal dips and her diction can register a snort out of me at times, but as a whole I really like her quite a lot. Great stuff.

I like how they prioritize a good groove, indicating an acid jazz influence as that's kinda the genre's trademark. It's nothing too groundbreaking but I don't really expect it to be. It's a good deviation from the more abstract Norweigan stuff I'm used to and alot more akin to an instrumentation-oriented group like Skalpel, who are ****ing awesome.
