Going through all the stuff I've missed in this thread, I came by this one again.
I'm giving it another listen, but before that, I guess an apology is in order. I've been a bit of a dick to you in this thread, for no good reason. Sorry about that. I still want to give a short take on the music, but it's nothing personal. At all. I'm reacting to these tracks as I hear them, straight from the heart. I do really enjoy Warsaw Village Band and a number of other folk artists, but I don't know... This track didn't exactly do much for me. That woman has a great voice, and it's a pretty melody, but I also found the track a bit long-ish, and that mid section amused me more in the wrong way than it probably should have. I kinda feel like this group seems like a lot of imagery and aesthetic, but very little substance. HOWEVER. I'm also just a dumbass with a very specific musical perspective and I haven't heard anything else they've made for that matter. |

What do you call this style? The beats just scream early Playstation 1 era action games to me.
I guess I'm not really warming up to Orbital yet. Kinda decent, but I'm missing what the real selling point is. Some dated sounding beats with pretty, flowery vocal refrains floating on top. Assorted bleeps and bloops to accompany that. I guess I just feel like it's really missing something, but it's not altogether unpleasant. I'd leave it on if it was playing in an old Playstation game. Maybe even increase the volume! |

"WE GOT SHOES!!"
I don't know whether to hate it or admire it for how shameless it is. Musically though, I get the feeling that these guys wouldn't get so much disrespect if their visual image wasn't so absolutely **** (I've googled these guys... yuck!). Punchy party rap. Nothing ground breaking, but then, even most things that try to be so aren't either. I didn't actually hate it. It's fun on some level, but I'm probably not coming back to it. There's a lot of music in the world and I'm not sure these guys is making anything I want to seek out in a world where mortality is a fact of life. |

A selling point for me, at least with the Snivilisation album, is the atmosphere that backs the great beats and melodies. I thought you might like that song in particular because of the vocals (She's Goldfrapp btw, if you're interested in checking out her stuff). Maybe try this one? Has a bit more of a modern production: |

What makes Twiztid groundbreaking is that they are some of the originators of the horrorcore scene that molded the look and the sound. I'd say they're pioneers in nerdcore too.
